It's funny Boston went to game 7 of the finals and I think that's it for them. I can't see them being as good.

I think Leafs finsih ahead of Tampa. Montreal regresses, and Florida and Buffalo pass them.

I see them struggling to make playoffs after slow start and teams lack of belief in Babcock. Dubas will need to finally fire him around allstar break and bring in Keefe to try to squeeze in. If Dubas had let Babcock go in offseason and started with Keefe I agree they would be in top 3 in league.

I would like to agree with you on Buffalo but I don't think it will be this season.

My guess for the standings this coming season-

Tampa

Toronto

Boston

Florida

Montreal

Buffalo

Ottawa

Detroit

Maybe flip Ottawa and Detroit.

Tampa finishes on top.
I dont see much change for the leafs.
If marner holds out for a while i could see the leafs missing out on a few points.

Boston is still a very good team. Don't let your bias fool you. Top 3 in the division for sure.

True. That's where they should be. But Ottawa is garbage enough that they might ruin that.

There was a time not too long ago when the Vancouver Canucks were the only team consistently scouting Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane hot and heavy.

Lately, the LA Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks have been running scouting sorties into Buffalo to keep tabs on Kane.

Kane is healthy and has been producing at a steady clip.

In his past 21 games, Kane has scored 12 goals and assisted on 5 others.

So, why would Tim Murray trade Kane now while the Sabres are scratching and clawing to earn a wild card berth? Because the Sabres badly, and I mean, badly need to upgrade their speed, skill and smarts on their second and their D pairs. The Sabres have scored first then collapsed to lose their last three road games in Tampa, Raleigh and Toronto. Buffalo's blue line has been a source of pain all season long. If Murray has to trade Evander Kane to get his hands on a difference making top four D-man now, then so be it.

Buffalo has young scoring winger prospects in already Justin Bailey, Nick Baptiste and Alex Nylander who champing at the bit to move up from AHL Rochester and take the place of Kane in Buffalo.

Brendan Guhle will be a full time Sabres defender in Buffalo next season. For the time being, Sabres fans continue to hold their collective breath when Cody Franson, Justin Falk and Taylor Fedun are on the ice.

I predicting Boston will get off to a great start, still angry from losing in the finals but the short Summer will catch up to many of there senior core players
by January and they will finish the 2nd half of the season on a downward trend. Still make the playoffs but will have to grind it out to get there.

I predict the opposite.

A very short summer plus the injury list they had? Yikes.
